Here’s a close-up of the cartoon I drew for Robert De Niro last Monday. This weekend I’ve been asked by a couple of people to teach them how I do my social media, and I get asked often. So I’m going to figure out how to teach an online webinar or start a membership site. In the meantime, I’ll start giving you a little insight into the things I do. I showed up at the @nobutorontoresidences launch event with my paper and markers. And I drew this in about two minutes, including references to the condo and the street, so that it would help promote his business. As I waited around, I then added more from the actual event, so that Robert would know I drew it on the spot, and thus be more forgiving of the drawing’s quality. There were golden shovels that he used for the ground-breaking, and I drew one in his hand. A girl had a Good Fellas poster for him to autograph, and I decided to add Good Condos for Good Fellas, to flatter him, personalize the drawing more, and help promote his condos. Drawing cartoons like this allows me to quickly interact with a celebrity even if they don’t have time to film an interview with me. In this case, Robert didn’t stop to chat with anyone. But my neighbor Kathleen gave the cartoon to his PR person. Which means there’s still hope that he saw what I did. And at the very least, I’ve got the drawing to share with you and social media. Which gives me something fun to post even when I don’t get an interaction with the celebrity. 📝 #socialmediatips #toronto #cartoon #art #condo #realestate #robertdeniro I am: #entrepreneur #influencer #copywriter #socialmediamanager #talentagent #celebrityinterviewer #entertainmentreporter #radiohost #tvhost #comedian #actor #voiceactor #singersongwriter #cartoonist #screenwriter #filmcritic #travelblogger #lifestyleblogger #foodblogger #entertainmentblogger #YouTuber #podcaster #digitalnomad
